STRETHALL, or Streethall, a small hilly parish , 4 miles W.N.W. of Saffron Walden, and 2 miles from Littlebury Railway Station, has only 37 souls, and 609 acres of land, besides wastes and roads. The Rev. William Forbes Raymond is lord of the manor, owner of most of the soil , and patron of the rectory, valued in K.B. at £13, and in 1831 at £168, and now enjoyed by the Rev. Thos. Griffinhoofe, of Arkesden.
Nehemiah Perry occupies the Hall Farm, and is the only resident farmer.
