HAVERHILL HAMLET, at the north-western extremity of this Hundred, adjoins and belongs to the parish of Haverhill, in Suffolk. It
contains 299 souls, and 652 acres of land. Sir G. H. Beaumont, Bart., is lord of the manor; but part of the soil belongs to Queen’s College, Cambridge, Mr. John Purkis, and several smaller owners.
